The best idea you’ll ever have will never come when you’re sitting in front of your computer. It will always strike you at the most inopportune time, like when you’re having the best sleep of your life, or at your Aunt Mildred’s funeral, or when your best friend is crying hysterically in your lap about the lack of good men in this world. That’s why it’s always important to have a piece of paper and a pen handy. If it’s impossible to grab a pen, an iPhone or Blackberry with a record function is key. Should you be in the throes of passion, try shouting your idea, “AWOMANTRIESTORUNFORPRESIDENTIN1870sAMERICA” should suffice. Don’t worry if your partner gets angry with you, at least you’ll never forget the idea. Bottom line: you can always have great sex. A New York Times bestselling book is very rare.
