The Surprise Party – Sue Welfare. I was lucky to get a pre-publication copy of this to review and I loved it. Sue writes such tightly woven plots yet everything is always so beautifully resolved by the end.
Can You Keep a Secret? – Sophie Kinsella – my introduction to SK and I laughed out loud on the train. A lovely, satisfying read.
The Love of My Life – Louise Douglas – an exquisitely written love story which had my heart breaking.
Pride Prejudice and Jasmine Field (Also Known as Acting Up) – Melissa Nathan – I loved this book so much that I wrote to Melissa to tell her (stalker alert) and we became friends until her untimely death. I’m very fond of this wonderfully funny book because it is wrapped up in so many warm memories of her
Bridget Jones’s Diary – Helen Fielding – the one book I wished I’d written. A revolution and influenced my writing so much. One of the few books I have read over and over again.
